B’nei Mitzvah Financial Obligations

These are the current fees associated with the B’nei Mitzvah process. Please note that these fees may increase year to year as our costs also rise.

The B’nei Mitzvah tuition fee is $800, which is paid in two installments. The first $400 is due with your application, and the second $400 in the fiscal year before the simhah. These fees help subsidize, but do not fully cover, the costs of educating our students. This includes all preparation, meetings, programs, tutoring, and materials. Congregation fees and membership dues must be current to receive a date, and must remain so throughout the process.

Please contact Rabbi Gruenberg to discuss issues regarding school enrollment requirements or David Schimmel, Executive Director, to discuss concerns about your synagogue account or fees.

B’nei Mitzvah semahot are wonderful community celebrations, and our congregation welcomes the opportunity to rejoice with you and your family. We believe that the ultimate way to commemorate this milestone is to join your neighbors at our congregational Kiddush. Each B’nei Mitzvah family is asked to contribute $800 towards the standard congregational Kiddush on the morning of your simhah, which helps us cover the cost of food, beverages, and staff. The Kiddush sponsorship is due three months prior to your simhah. Families may also choose to expand the Monday or Thursday morning minyan breakfast in the week of the B’nei Mitzvah.

B’nei Mitzvah Tuition Fee = $800 ($400 with the application and $400 in the year prior to the simhah)
